Corporate Media Stiffs Bernie Sanders on Coverage…Again

So, depending on your perkiness meter, and whether you’re always all smiles, you may be feeling a wee bit glum today….assuming you’re for social justice, equality, and credibility, in the form or Mr. Bernie Sanders.

Yes, as you likely know by now, Sanders didn’t take Ohio and Illinois last night like many of us progressives hoped. The progressives, rather, who can’t throw all of their support behind someone who has gone laughing to the bank, after providing speeches for said bank…As this is being written, Missouri is still up in the air.

Now sure, there are still many reasons to be hopeful and happy. Sanders did grab a lot more delegates last night, and depending on how things play out, some big wins could be on the horizon for him. Further, it’s important to not overlook the fact that hundreds of thousands of people are supporting a campaign, which isn’t funded by special interests, and is openly challenging an unjust status-quo.

But, if you watched the coverage last night on television, yes, via the corporate media, then you likely busted out a big “what the fuck?”,¬† when Fox News, CNN and MSNBC all declined to broadcast Bernie’s speech. Guess that’s what happens when you’re a candidate who wants to punt corporate money out of politics, actually do something about climate change, and establish a far more equitable economy.

Not surprisingly, this diss didn’t get past Democracy Now, and you can catch their coverage regarding this below.
